Apple could face Antitrust Inquiry over Flash

Over the past couple of weeks you have seen events unfold between Apple and Adobe about the use of Flash in web development and application development, namely for the iOS platform (iPod touch, iPhone and iPad). But now things are about to get even more interesting.

The New York Post reports that either the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission might begin an antitrust inquiry to determine Apple’s new policy, which was introduced a month ago with the revised section 3.3.1 of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement.

The New York Post quotes a person familiar with these events, and they say that regulators are “days away” from making a decision which will launch an inquiry, this doesn’t mean that action will be taken against Apple, but it’s heading that way.
