The market research company BCN has conducted a survey of 2,300 Japanese retail stores that has revealed that among the list of the top 10 bestselling phones in Japan, the 8GB iPhone was at the top of the list, with the 16GB iPhone right below it. The survey was conducted before the launch of the iPhone 3GS in Japan, so perhaps the iPhone may further increase (or decrease) in popularity with its release.
The third phone in the top 10 bestseller list is the NTT DoCoMo Aquos SH-04A which was designed by Sharp. Number 6 on the list is the BlackBerry Bold, and concluding the list is four HTC smartphones.
