Apple To Make A Tablet? Bit Bigger Then The iPhone
Apple
Written by Patrick Laughner on Tuesday, July 28, 2009

At the WDC, Worldwide Developers Conference, this year Apple seemed to completely ignore the fact that AT&T was their carrier. Apple spoke much of Verizon however. There are rumors buzzing around everywhere of an Apple Tablet-like device. Jeffrey Nelson, a Verizon PR, stated that they are trying to more aggressively promote developer networks. Possibly by bringing an App store into the picture.

Many are pointing to the fact that PC sales are declining, MID's (Mobile Internet Device's) and netbook sales are steadily rising. The popularity of things like Amazon's Kindle and thing such as the Crunch Pad. The Apple tablet is expected to resemble a jumbo iPod Touch. However it will buff more beefy features than a simple iPod Touch, sporting a 10" multi-touch screen, 3G Internet capable. With the rumors, Verizon is expected to subsidize the tablet to make it more affordable.

The idea behind it is great, but if you remember what Tim Cook, Apple COO, said back in January. He said that products such as netbooks are inferior to laptops and desktops alike and aren't of high enough quality, and the low price means Apple can't charge enough to get a good premium.
