Ermm, bit of a big jump? 10 MB for a picture? I'd say something like 1 MB would be more rational.

What did you use for the theming?
iirc ShapeShifter doesn't even work with Leopard, and there's a huge message on the (closed) Magnifique forums telling you not to use it on SL.

Well, you just centered it by pushing the stuff to the right, didn't you? So if that's true, having more programs open would make it extend to the right, and it would look bad. :P

Probably true yes however I have all my most used applications pinned (more than in that screenshot now) so there are very very few apps that I have open that aren't already pinned and centered. I plan on replacing all the icons eventually for a uniform look. I just need to find an icon set that looks good with Win7-Blend and applies to all the apps I have.

The theme came with an installer, I use Candybar for the icon and dock changing.

Gives plenty of room for larger image combos I suppose. Dual screens maybe?

Still unreasonable really. I have dual screens, and even as a BMP, my desktop is ~8.44MB.
And if anyone seriously uploads a BMP, they need to die.

Still, the limit is imposed so that people with slower connections aren't burdened. 10 MB isn't exactly a reasonable file size, limiting it to a meg would cater for people who don't have the superfast connections you Westerners have.

Anyways, back on topic...

It's the dirtiest my desktop has ever been. :D

I'll do you a deal, 5Mb. Means a regular screenshot still fits but it's smaller :)
