NVIDIA Demo/Sell GF100 at PAX 2010, LAN Parties and Prizes

Now the wait is over, NVIDIA published the “major announcement” that they were so excited about last Friday. On Friday, March 26th, PAX East 2010 will be taking place in Boston, Massachusetts. NVIDIA has announced an open invitation for anyone wanted to see the next generation of PC gaming. NVIDIA’s dubbing the unveiling a “Special Must See Presentation”. The unveiling will take place Friday, March 26th in the Main Theater 6PM to 7PM EST.

“Come see NVIDIA unveil the next generation of PC gaming. Want to see what’s hot and what’s next? If you’re even vaguely a fan of PC games and miss this special event, you’ll likely be spending the next few months kicking yourself. Line up early as seating is limited. ‘Nuff said.”

At the NVIDIA booth (Exhibit Hall D, Booth #1003) NVIDIA is offering anyone the ability to test-drive one of the GF100 series GPU’s, and possibly purchase one before anyone else. Let’s just hope that it doesn’t cost you an arm or a leg. During the test-drive, users will be able to play some games that haven’t even been released yet, in 3D and 3D Surround.

chris_arthington_1NVIDIA will also be having a GeForce LAN party for the hardcore gamers. The party will be held on the 3rd floor of the building and will be BYOC (bring your own computer) and will hold 300 people, along with a 400-station PC free-play and tournament area. Gamers will be partaking in the world’s first 3D tournament playing Battlefield Bad Company 2. BYOC ticketholders will be getting a free “schwag bag” from NVIDIA.

A special dedication was also placed on the event page, in honor of Chris Arthington (ChrisRay) who passed away earlier in the year. During the event, a custom moded (by Richard Surroz “Darth Beavis”) PC with NVIDIA artwork and dual GTX 480’s in SLI will be raffled off. All the proceeds will benefit Chris’s mother who depending on Chris for support. Anyone with tickets has the chance to win!
