As if MSI suddenly tapped into my brain, the lesser-known manufacturer is showing off a “dual-screen e-reader” at CES this year (or maybe they just saw Microsoft’s Courier?). Though they claim it’s an e-reader, it’s really more so of a laptop. Why? Because it’s running Windows 7 Home Premium and is powered by an Intel Atom Z Series processor.
While there’s still some kinks to work out, the two screens are pretty awesome, as an Engadget writer claimed. The physical “e-reader” is mainly metal, and is the size of a netbook with its dual 10″ multitouch screens, and apparently feels quite heavy. While it can be used as an e-reader, users can also use it as a netbook, using Windows 7′s on-screen keyboard to type, complete with haptic feedback, similar to phones.
Although this is still an early build running early beta software, MSI intends on polishing the product and releasing it to the public this year.
