The Register reports that Mozilla is hard at work on Firefox 3.5.1 is in the works to iron out bugs that were not removed in the 3.5 release of the popular web browser. Among the various other bug fixes lies a patch for TraceMonkey, Firefoxs JavaScript engine which actually managed to postpone the 3.5 launch by 6 months due to the presence of several show-stopper bugs within the JavaScript engine.
Firefox 3.5 didnt have as many downloads initially as 3.0, having 5 million compared to 7 million in the first 24 hours, respectively. This may also have something to do with the fact that for 3.0, Firefox called upon its users both new and veteran to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the highest number of downloads in one day.
