Francisco Martin Garcia, one of the guys over in Europe who has been in the loop regarding Windows Live Wave 4 has published a post to his space revealing the Windows Live Wave 4 development roadmap, with the dates that Microsoft intends on hitting for certain milestones or releases. Below is the roadmap, made a bit easier to read in English from the original post:
April 28th select testers will gain access to latest dogfood builds
May 18th Windows Live Essentials 2010 reaches Milestone 3
June 3rd Microsoft announces Windows Live Wave 4
June 7th Microsoft releases a public beta of the Windows Live Essentials with a few, main languages
August 25th Windows Live Essentials Wave 4 RTMs, is released in additional languages
The current build (at the time of him posting this roadmap) is 15.3.2659.319.
Its interesting that the RTM is only 5 months away; lets hope that the Windows Live Messenger team is able to get their act together and bake a polished, actually good product come August 25th. Please note that, as this roadmap did not come from the mouths of Microsoft themselves, it should be taken with a good helping of salt. However, we at GeekSmack have reason to believe that it is in fact correct. Also note that Microsoft may not hit certain dates on time, thus delaying development; this is always a possibility.
