Windows 8 Server Roadmap Leaks, This Time in English
Microsoft
Written by Paul Paliath on Saturday, August 15, 2009

With the end of one operating system’s development comes the beginning of another; arguably the most fun time of it all. When the first builds and other Microsoft NDA goodies leak showing off the beginnings of new features, perhaps hidden from the non-Redmond eyes somehow, it’s always fun to speculate, hunt down information, and see what exciting new features Microsoft implements into this mysterious new OS.

At this point in time, very little is known about Windows 8 as it’s at the very beginning of its development, but Stephen Chapman has come to the rescue by leaking roadmaps for Windows 8 Server ripped fresh out of Microsoft NDA documentation. A few moons ago, Stephen leaked a roadmap in Italian stating that Windows 8 Server was headed for a 2012 launch, and now, he has leaked a roadmap in English also stating that Windows 8 Server will be released in 2012:

Win82012

In the case of Windows 7, both client and server releases took place at the same time. Perhaps with Windows 8, we will also see an aligned client/server OS launch, meaning that this roadmap may also tell us of the Windows 8 client launch.
