At CES 2010, Microsoft has announced a keyboard companion to accompany its existing Arc mouse. Marketed with the slogan style that works, this sleek, stylish keyboard weighs in at under a pound and has an ergonomic, curved design. This keyboard can obviously be used anywhere, but it was designed primarily for use in the living room, on your lap, as you sip a tasty beverage and control your HTPC. While I am yet to use this keyboard, looking at the keys reminds me of the typing experience on an Apple keyboard; which is definitely a pleasant experience as the nice feel of laptop keys is brought to the desktop with Apples keyboard, with increased quality of course.
The Arc keyboard is wireless, with a low-profile USB transceiver that can be stored at the back of the keyboard when not in use. Unlike the Arc mouse, this keyboard cannot fold for travel. The Arc keyboard will launch exclusively at Best Buy on February 21st, with a price tag of $59.99.
