Written by Patrick Laughner on Thursday, January 28, 2010

Quite similar looking to the HTC HD2, the newly leaked HTC Supersonic is the newest powerful mobile device from Taiwan-based HTC. The very sexy looking phone will be coming with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Not only will it be buffing an ultra-fast mobile processor, it’ll be packing a 5 megapixel camera as well.

Rumors are speculating that it will come with Android 3.0 OS pre-installed. Currently, the Google Nexus One comes with Android 2.1. It will basically be the same as the HTC HD2, and will not feature slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Price and specifications are not currently completely available.

Specification

  • 4.3-inch touchscreen display
  • 1 GHz snapdragon processor
  • 480 x 800 pixels resolution
  • Android 2.1 OS
  • HTC Sense UI
  • 3.5 mm audio jack
  • 5 mega-pixel camera
  • GPRS/EDGE
  • WiMax connectivity
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • A-GPS

Update: Sorry for the mis-information. The HD2 does not have a slide-out keyboard. Thanks everyone for pointing that out.

I thought it was common knowledge that the HD2 doesn't have a keyboard... So wouldn't that be something they share? Something they don't share is Windows Mobile. Which will suck if we get the android version first!

By the way you mention that the hd2 has a slide out qwerty keyboard but it does not.

So in essence the supersonic is a hd2 but with android rather than winmo.

The HTC HD2 does not have a slide out keyboard - only on screen (I have this phone, so I am sure!)
