After a tremendous year in the mobile industry, MSI is still struggling to get its fair share of the notebook market. However on Friday, March 19th MSI announced the availability of the P600 business-class notebook. Offering Power, Security and Convenience, the P600 is the businessman’s personal assistant.
The P600 is basically the definition of a modern business notebook. It comes with a 15.6 LED 1366 x 768 (720p 16:9), DVD Super-Multi drive. The P600 is powered by Intels latest power-mainstream Core i5 CPUs. Core i5s range in performance, most being dual-cores with Hyper-Threading, and the high-end Core i5-750 and 750S have 4-cores but without Hyper-Threading. The only thing you wont find on the MSI P600 is a discrete GPU, which isnt bad considering most professions dont require one.
If the Core i5 isnt enough for you, then you can get the P600 loaded with up to 4GB of DDR3, Wireless N, Bluetooth, and Windows 7 Home Premium. To keep matters going, it comes with biometric fingerprint reader to provide a more strict secure experience. The P500 also comes with an 8-cell battery, which according to MSI will give you up to 8 hours of power. With all that hardware, Id really like to see it for myself.
As well as the hardware security features, this MSI notebook also packs EasyFace software. EasyFace further protects your notebook by using the integrated HD webcam to take and store several photos of the user and are used in accordance with logon. Might not be safe if you happen to have a twin, but very promising out in the real world.
