VMWare Private Beta Build 185517 Has Support for Windows Aero
Software

For those of you running Windows Vista or 7 in a virtualization client, I’m sure you miss having the nice, satisfying Windows Aero eye candy, especially with the Aero Basic skin looking the way that it does now. As it stands you can do this with Windows Virtual PC for 7 as blogger Taimur Asad pointed out to us, however, it appears that VMWare will be including this coveted functionality into their virtualization client as well.

A discovery made by GeekSmack community member Sevan reveals that the latest private beta build of VMWare, build 185517 seems to have support for Windows Aero in Vista and 7. In the above screenshot, you can see this functionality in action with our managing editor Greig running the Windows 7 RTM build in VMWare with full Aero Glass enabled. This build of VMWare, as I stated earlier is only available in a build given out to private beta participants, however this functionality is something to look forward to in the next final release for the rest of us.
